Our New Copenhagen Home

Everyone knows that Danes are masters when it comes to interior design and the newly opened concept The Audo is definitely no exception. Combining a boutique hotel, co-working space, café, restaurant and concept store and also hosts the new HQ of longtime favorite brand Menu. The beautiful Nordhavn building has been carefully restored and re-designed by Norm Architects and filled with both Scandinavian design classics and modern international art.  And the icing on the cake? Our slippers are available for purchase in the Audo Concept Store. The Menu Tearoom Lounge Chair in our favorite color. Our Army Suede Sliders blending right in.   Images from Wallpaper and our own.

When less just can't be more

For those of you who have looked into our Instagram account, you probably know that we have a slight obsession with the interiors of superstar Kelly Wearstler. All of her homes have a sense of 1920's flair and casual decadence which just makes us want to move straight in.  Narwhal tusks on point. We need those sofa chairs in our lives. Wooden perfection. Basically what all radiators should look like.   All images from Kelly Wearstler.

Ettore, take me home!

Not only did Italian industrial designer and architect Ettore Sottsass design some of the most iconic furniture pieces ever, he also drew a couple of houses. Wonder where that wooden vault door leads... Who wouldn't want a cabinet installation in their dining room?   All images via Galerie Magazine.

Connecticut Dreaming

We figured we'd start off with one of our dream houses, designed by interior designer India Mahdavi. We wouldn't mind spending a few days in this Connecticut country house, lounging in the spacious living room, chilling at the Piet Hein Eek table in the pool house, or dreaming away in the James Turrell light work (!). Lamp, table and dog. We want it all.   Piet Hein Eek table in the pool house. Sol LeWitt wall drawing in the game room. Just a lil' James Turrell light installation in the main house. Dreamy for sure.    All images from Architectural Digest.

Oh hi, hello there!

So this officially constitutes the first blog post in our The Inabo Home blog series. As we we think beautiful indoor shoes are best worn in beautiful homes, we decided to start this blog as an inspirational scrapbook of sorts.  Here we will gather all the beautiful homes, interior design objects and all the other things we come across that inspire us. For our own sake, and maybe for someone else to be inspired too. So welcome to The Inabo Home, we hope it will be beautiful, inspiring and fun! Above is an image of Cuadra San Cristóbal, a stable and private home designed by Mexican architect Luis Barragán, located in Mexico City. The project was commissioned by Swede Folke Egerström in the 1960,...
